 About  vdV Consulting

Tina van der Ven

Founder & CEO, vdV Consulting LLC

Tina van der Ven's journey is a testament to the power of blending professional expertise with a passion for community service. As the Founder and CEO of vdV Consulting LLC, a Miami-based boutique firm, Tina has carved out a unique niche in the consulting world. Her company specializes in public relations, strategy, marketing, business development, business coaching, and legal recruitment — a diverse portfolio that reflects Tina's own multifaceted career.

With over two decades of marketing experience, Tina's professional path has been anything but conventional. She began her career as a clinical researcher at the prestigious Brigham and Women's Hospital, laying the groundwork for her later transition into healthcare marketing. Her time as a consultant with Ernst & Young and Enzyme, Inc. honed her skills in this specialized field.

Tina's career took an exciting turn when she stepped into the world of law, leading regional marketing, business development, strategy, and communications at the international powerhouse Greenberg Traurig. This experience as Director of Marketing in BigLaw, combined with her background in healthcare and consulting, gave Tina a unique perspective that would later become the cornerstone of her own business.

Before founding vdV Consulting, Tina co-founded NewStar Media. This entrepreneurial venture was the perfect segue into launching her own consulting firm, where she now helps clients across various industries achieve their business goals through creative, efficient, and customized strategies.

Tina's impact extends far beyond the boardroom. Her dedication to community service is evident in her numerous board positions and volunteer roles. She is a former co-chair of the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami and has served on the boards of Kristi House and the Downtown Miami Charter School. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School and the Board of Directors of the Sundari Foundation, known as Lotus House.

Her community involvement doesn't stop there. Tina is an active member of the Women of Tocqueville and serves on committees for Miami City Ballet, Perez Art Museum Miami, The Women's Fund Miami-Dade, and the Little Lighthouse Foundation. She has co-chaired high-profile events such as the United Way Women United Breakfast and the Miami City Ballet Nutcracker Magic Soirée.

Tina's contributions have not gone unnoticed. She has been recognized as a "Power Leader in Marketing" by the South Florida Business Journal and as a "Woman of Style" by Miami Magazine. Her most recent accolade, the Miami Women Who Rock "Woman of the Year" Award, is a testament to her ongoing impact in both the business and nonprofit sectors.

Other honors include induction into the American Cancer Society "Inner Circle of Twelve" and the NSU University School "Hall of Fame." She received the "Wonder Woman" Award from BBBS Miami and the "Academic Inspiration Award" from Take Stock in Children for her dedication to mentoring.

Tina's educational background - a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a master's degree in public health from Boston University - underpins her unique approach to business and philanthropy. This blend of healthcare knowledge and business acumen has been a driving force throughout her career.

Today, Tina calls Coconut Grove, Florida home, where she lives with her husband, Alex, and their two children.

Working with vdV Consulting has been amazing. My only regret is not working with vdV sooner. vdV Consulting’s principal, Tina, is truly an amazing and exceptional person. Her professionalism, energy, attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills are immediately noticeable up working with her. Not only is she great to work with, but she brings to the table years of experience working with prestigious law firms and other businesses.

Her vast knowledge and understanding of the legal industry, including her deep well of contacts and business relationships in the community, make her particularly effective and productive. With her help and business coaching, I have changed the way I run and market my legal practice which has been invaluable in helping me forge strong business relationships.

I am very grateful for vdV Consulting and Tina and I would advise any business seeking solutions in business development, public relations, content marketing and business coaching, that hiring vdV and Tina would be a singularly wise decision.
